The Head of the Catalyst Purchasing Department is a dynamic leadership role that involves managing client relationships, developing new business opportunities, and coordinating catalyst procurement processes. The job requires on-site presence in Nairobi (Kenya), a category B driving licence, and excellent English skills.
Your responsibility:
Management of existing client relationships: regular visits, needs analysis, proposal preparation, and maintaining long-term, trust-based partnerships.
Search for new clients, partners, and suppliers, initiating first contacts and negotiations.
Coordination of the catalyst procurement process in accordance with company standards: raw material evaluation, pricing, quality and quantity checks.
Logistics organisation, preparation of export documents, and export coordination.
Administrative and operational tasks: data entry into the CRM system, report preparation, collaboration with other departments.
Monitoring of the market and competitive environment, providing suggestions for process improvements.
Delegation of tasks and coordination of daily activities, ensuring smooth team operations.
Requirements
Excellent English skills (spoken and written).
Category B driving licence.
Initiative, patience, and a responsible approach to work.
Ability to work independently, manage time, and make decisions.
Strong communication and negotiation skills; adaptability in a dynamic environment.
Experience in sales or management is an advantage.
